Education

Education as an instrument of empowerment.

Word – Knowledge - Wisdom

The Calabash Hub supports the advancement of individuals in education awareness for empowerment. Let us be the tellers of our own story and spread the messages to convey the rich culture, historical interests, news and views of the people and country as a body of knowledge and learning resource to enhance the goodwill of past, present and future.

In a hope to develop Word, Knowledge and Wisdom that can be transferred into desired actions. The learning resource will be a starting point that makes you want to dwell deeper into a subject that will inspire to continue the learning cycle of passing down to future generations creating positivity within our community
The body of knowledge and images representing the rich diversity can uplift self representation and confidence about ones race whether in an academic, cultural, socially or spiritual way.

"History is a clock people use to tell their historical culture and political time of the day. It's a compass that people use to find themselves on the map of human geography. The history tells them where they have been, where they are and what they are. But most importantly history tells a people where they still must go and what they still must be"
Dr. John Henrik Clarke

Your contributions are valuable to the upliftment of our community. Therefore if you have any stories, news and views you wish to share of cultural relevance please contact The Calabash Hub. We would be honored to receive articles about libation, outdouring, ceremony, festivals, games, carnival, discoveries, folklore and historical events.

‘Each one teach one’.

Adinkra symbol of wisdom, knowledge and prudence
MATE MASIE "What I hear, I keep"
The implied meaning of the phrase "mate masie" is "I understand". Understanding means wisdom and knowledge, but it also represents the prudence of taking into consideration what another person has said.
