Experience Ghana, Share Ghana
We organised members of The Sisterhood Empowerment Circle, family and friends to join us for an educational and fun day. The bus was suppose to depart from Accra Tourist Information Centre (ATIC) at 1pm but we left by 1:40pm (we waited for a sistren).
The weather was slightly drizzly so the roof of the bus was mantled for shelter. Due to making up lost time, we remained on the bus throughout but stopped at several landmarks. It was great to have tour guide Stanley who presented historical information, purpose, reasons and information throughout the tour. There is always a story to tell about most corners of Accra.
As the bus is very colourful promoting Ghana we were greeted with many waves and cheers from local pedestrians. A great experience and fun day. If your ever in Accra or know someone who is visiting Ghana make sure the Accra City Bus tour is on their list of things to do. Or if you have a large group or school then you can also hire the entire bus via the GTA office for a fee GH¢ 3000.00
As a tour host I have held walking tours and accompanied guests through the streets of Accra, which has given me a head start about several sites and buildings, but the bus tour is also fun especially with young children.
