The Calabash Hub is involved in several come-unity projects in the UK and Ghana
The rural village of Okurase is in the West Akyem Municipal in the Eastern Region of Ghana, West Africa. The primary objectives of the project is to build a community infrastructure called the Nkabom Centre. The centre will provide the local villages with training programmes, family support, health care, clean water supply and educational facilities. http://www.projectokurase.org/
BAG OF CEMENT
In Ghana cement (50kg) costs approx from 20/25 Ghana cedis (depending on location) which is equivilant to approx £5, and a vital element towards the construction of the Nkabom Centre. The friends of The Calabash Hub implemented the BAG of CEMENT campaign to raise awareness of Okurase and collect donations to be used to purchase cement and raw materials.
DONATIONS can be in the form of one off payments or monthly contributions. Updates of the development of the centre will be highlighted.
